Acadia ALERT - Campus Closed (Weather)

Today, Monday December 08, 2025, Acadia University will remain closed, with the exception of residences and Wheelock Dining Hall, due to the current weather, poor travel conditions and King's Transit cancelling service for the day. Wheelock Dining Hall may adjust their hours due to the weather and any change in hours will be communicated through Residence Life.

Employees and students are not expected to come to campus and only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Non-essential employees are not expected to work during the closure. Any events scheduled for today will be postponed or cancelled. All exams scheduled for today will be rescheduled to a later date.

Research Interests: Shakespeare; Early Modern Drama & Culture; Digital Editing

My research is focused on various aspects of early modern literature and culture, and my work has appeared in Early Modern Literary Studies, English Studies in Canada, Studies in Philology, and Studies in English Literature. I am co-editor, with Paul Yachnin, of Shakespeare and Character: Theory, History, Performance, and Theatrical Persons (Palgrave 2009). My print edition of Shakespeare’s Othello is available from independent Canadian academic publisher Broadview Press. Teaching: I regularly teach introductory English courses and upper-level undergraduate courses on Shakespeare. Periodically, I also offer Honours and Graduate seminars on such topics as the sonnet, theoretical approaches to early modern literature, and film adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays.
