Book Editor

Acadia English laid the foundation for my future work in graduate school and eventually as a book editor in Toronto. I was exposed to a diverse range of material, given plenty of personal attention, and challenged in ways that developed my writing, confidence and critical thinking skills. Especially in later years, I felt part of a community, and I was inspired and supported by my fellow honours students and the faculty. My four years with estuary, including two as editor-in-chief, also ended up being relevant to my current career, introducing me to the practical aspects of guiding a book through to publication and to identifying the merits of pieces I was passionate about. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to study English at Acadia.
