Minor in English
The requirements for a Minor vary by faculty and program of study. Most BA students are required to complete a minimum of 24h in a Minor program, while BSc students completing a Minor in English are required to complete a minimum of 12h in the Minor.
Note: All 2000- and 3000-level English courses are non-sequential and open to any Acadia student who has completed ENGL 1489-1493 (ENGL 1413/1423) “Writing and Reading Critically” with a grade of C- or better.*
4000-level seminars are usually restricted to third- and fourth-year Majors and Honours students, though students completing a Minor may sometimes be admitted with permission of the instructor.
*The exception is Advanced Creative Writing for which a portfolio and permission of the instructor are also required.
