Amanda Peters Nominated for Major Literary Awards
The Berry Pickers, a novel by Amanda Peters, Associate Professor in the Department of English and Theatre, has been getting some attention in both Canada and the United States. The novel has been shortlisted for the Barnes and Noble Discovery Prize and the Writers Trust of Canada Atwood-Gibson Fiction Award, and longlisted for the 2024 Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction. The Berry Pickers was released in Canada in April 2023 and will be released in the United States and the United Kingdom on October 31, 2023.
