The announcement was made at the Association for Canadian and Quebec Litertures Conference held in Waterloo, Ontario. Herb Wyile, Anne of Tim Hortons: Globalization and the Reshaping of Atlantic-Canadian Literature (Wilfrid Laurier University Press) wins the English prize.
Gabrielle Roy Prize for Criticism
In honour of the late Gabrielle Roy, two prizes are awarded each year to the authors of works of literary criticism dealing with Canada or Quebec literature, written in English and French, and published in the previous year.
